Jennie Curtis
Director/Landscape Architect
Jennie uses her ears to listen before she uses her hands to design. Clients have sometimes asked how she manages to get inside their heads.
After a career in school teaching and graphic design, which may explain her communication skills, Jennie shifted her attention to landscape architecture in 2001 and became a registered landscape architect. She has designed over 100 residential gardens as well as industrial and residential subdivisions, streetscapes, city and rural parks and educational landscapes. She has worked with community groups to create memorial landscapes and to rehabilitate degraded waterways.
Sustainability is Jennie's passion. Harbouring a suspicion of projects that measure sustainable outcomes using point scoring or checklists, she endeavours to always design with the principles of environmental, social and economic sustainability in mind.
Jennie respects no-nonsense, intelligent planning combined with contemporary creative design. And by turning professional connections into personal friendships, she gets great results.
Geoff Bunnett
Landscape Architect
Geoff has applied his unique, contemporary design style to a broad range of landscape projects including schools, playgrounds, shopping centres and medium density residential estates. He has designed community and regional parks and many places for memorialisation and remembrance.
Establishing a sense of place is critical in Geoff’s design work. He sees this as a measure of his success in communicating openly with stakeholders, community members and client representatives as well as listening to and interpreting the requirements of the site.
As a registered landscape architect who worked in private practice and local government in Sydney from 2001 before shifting his attention to Canberra and the surrounding region, Geoff aims to make sure that people are a strong element in the landscape. With each commission comes the responsibility to apply a human scale and to consider how people will interact with each other and the environment created by the design.
Regardless of the location, Geoff likes to ensure that the landscape design, project management and administration of works processes flow smoothly. He has worked closely with landscape construction teams and clients to deliver the works, providing critical guidance and assistance for budgets, programs, on-site design solutions and stakeholder management.
